GOODBYE SILENT FOOT

Click for Turkish

Our warmhearted Veysel Baba and his beloved friend Silent Fox were alone together as they left the farm house with other fox friends and returned to London. Yet, Goze has joined this firm friendship. Veysel Baba was unable to understand why Goze stays with her mother and avoids going to the farm house just like other fox friends. It seems he felt something beyond his knowledge. Several concerns and questions on Silent Foot, her holy duties and Goze staying in the farm house were occupying his mind continuously. If anything happened beyond his knowledge or somebody took a decision binding his beloved friend Silent Foot, or he led to all these incidents, then he would never forgive himself. In such case or in case a decision is taken by Great Council of Foxes, he brought this consequence. His persistent questions regarding the Holy Ark and the Doomsday were the main reason.

Under the influence of such concerns, Veysel Baba left home every night and walked on the Tale Road of beautiful and silent Shoreditch Park. Once shined with joyful fox friends, Shoreditch Park was now in a deep silence. The good old days and epic nights in this mysterious park were over. The exhausted and lonely man was building castles in the air as he leaves home and walks on the Tale Road of Shoreditch Park every night. His beautiful fox friends named this long and narrow path as the Tale Road. In every step of Taleteller Grandpa on this road, they used to repeat a new tale name in their whispers. Taleteller Grandpa and the epic Tale Road were on one side while the cute baby foxes intending to hear the fantastic tales from Story Teller Grandpa were on the other side.

For our warmhearted Veysel Baba, it was a great feeling to leave home every night and walk on the Tale Road in order to tell new stories to his good fox friends waiting for his arrival wishully and have joyful conversations. But those fabulous moments have gone. Veysel Baba’s tired body was at the edge of a collapse. It was really insufficient to undertake heavy responsibilities. Yet, he was going out once a week to meet his beloved friend Silent Foot together with her smart baby Goze in the mysterious Shoreditch Park. In those meetings, the old days were recalled usually and the memories of past were revived. This was enough for Veysel Baba in increasing his morale.

Veysel Baba missed his lovely friend Silent Foot more due to his concerns on the return of lonely days and sleepless nights. The man was taking a journey to the past during the moments of loneliness. In such moments, he was recalling tortures, pains, hates, fears, dark times, prison cells, fences and his devastated moods. As he realized the endless tortures with cold water on his body in a naked position on a concrete floor, the little mountain village and the villager ladies near a river appeared in his mind as well as his beautiful mother cleaning her son on a tiny raft. Every time he felt cold and said “Mom, I’m so cold”, his beloved mother took a cup of hot water from the boiler and warmed his body. When his friend Silent Foot appeared at a cold winter night in the mysterious Shoreditch Park, his concerns and fears for endless loneliness were over.

Veysel Baba was glad to meet with the decent talking fox through the intervention by various mystical powers and his ordinary life became meaningful. His kind friend Silent Foot, just like a gift from God, gave fresh breath on Veysel Baba’s lonely life. By means of this precious gift, a unique friendship was created between our prince of loneliness Veysel Baba and his beloved friend Silent Foot. This friendship with mutual trust between a person and a fox has also caused the private secrets to be shared. By disclosure of private secrets, our warmhearted Silent Foot has been summoned by Great Council of Foxes whereas her powers have been assigned to Goze following a trial.

It was really challenging to establish firm friendships or find a real friend in such difficult times. They say true friends are like the stars in the sky. You would see them at nights just like our Veysel Baba and his beloved friend Silent Foot. On the other hand, the people walking around the mysterious Shoreditch Park point out that two different lights blink and shine like the stars.

When the stars appear one by one at nights, our man of loneliness Veysel Baba leaves his home called Kinder House and walks to the mysterious Shoreditch Park through the Tale Road in order to meet his beloved friend Silent Foot as they have a strong friendship with eternal trust. For the sake of this friendship, all secrets were revealed in this park and Veysel Baba spent sleepless nights. And for this friendship, the warmhearted Silent Foot lost her powers by sacrificing herself.

Veysel Baba, with the feeling of being owed to his friend Silent Foot, took the magical pen in order to please Silent Foot and started to write down an epic poem dedicated to all fox friends. Veysel Baba reflected his pure feelings, thoughts and wishes for his kind friend Silent Foot on this poem. After a few days, he left home and walked towards the mysterious park at a midnight to read the poem for Silent Foot and her little princess Goze. Two good friends together with the little princess Goze had a nice conversation. During this intimate conversation, Veysel Baba started to read his epic poem.

My dearest fox friends!

There are beautiful foxes on green fields.

There are cute foxes in mysterious parks and gardens.

They look around with trembly eyes,

And walk around quietly,

And get into darkness instantly,

Our Veysel Baba is the best friend of all those decent foxes.

*              *              *              *              *

Sometimes he just walks in very green forests,

Sometimes he collects oaks under a century old trees,

Sometimes he hides for a hunt behind the bushes,

Sometimes he chases a hunt all night long,

Our Veysel Baba is the best friend of all cute foxes.

*              *              *              *              *

With their bright red tails and hairs,

With their ingenuity and craftiness,

They surprise us in a silence mood with little paws,

They are the creator of our incomplete dreams and sleepless nights,

They make us to recall our existence,

Our Veysel Baba is the intimate one of our warmhearted friends

*              *              *              *              *

Keeping the villagers up at nights,

Causing all fears and concerns,

Stealing chickens and turkeys from poultries,

Eating ducks, geese and rabbits,

Winning over us as they would misbehave,

Veysel Baba is the one showing the best way to our fox friends.

*              *              *              *              *

He is the one sharing all the secrets as a good friend.

He is the one establishing friendships to share his feeling of love.

He is the one meeting with them every night to give lectures.

He is the one spending sleepless nights for them by giving up those beautiful dreams.

He is the one leaving his home to walk to a mysterious park.

He is the one dreaming of walking on the famous Tale Path.

He is the one telling beautiful tales to his dear fox friends.

*              *              *              *              *

It seems that Veysel Baba is trying to tell us something by his acts.

It seems that he is trying to give us a message in this way.

It seems that he is trying to invite us to nature and create something beautiful for us.

And it seems that he tries to remind us something with his acts.

And it seems that he is trying to remind us of humanitarian values we fail to remember.

And it seems that he is trying to demonstrate all other creatures living in the nature maintain the right to live freely.

*              *              *              *              *

And he somehow wishes to introduce a new way of living for his fox friends whereas he tries to ensure us to be involved in this struggle for survival of beloved fox friends.

It seems that he intends to complete a duty.

And it seems that he wants to repeat a message.

And it seems that he wants to remind us of a forgotten beauty or something magnificent.

And it seems that he wants to continue writing an incomplete story or a tale.

And it seems that he wants to tell us about the struggle of beautiful nature.

And it seems that he wants us to hear the beautiful world’s screams for help.

And it seems that he wants to warn the eyes failing to see and the ears failing to hear anything.

And it seems that he intends to demonstrate our beautiful future is imprisonned by today.

And it seems that he wants to punish the murderers of nature and animals.

And it seems that he intends to demonstrate everything is not yet finished by means of his meaningful acts.

And it seems that he points out there is so much more to be done by means of his acts.

And it seems that he wants to invite us to strive by means of his tearful acts.

*              *              *              *              *

We couldn’t open our hearts to those dear fox friends like Veysel Baba.

We couldn’t give our love like him and we couldn’t show our love like him.

We somehow have fettered our decent hearts full of love.

We have locked our beautiful thoughts and ideas in dark cells.

We have lost humanitarian values and thrown them to deep wells.

We have spent our lives chasing money by ignoring the spiritual values.

We have eliminated love and friendship from our daily lives.

And yet, we have preferred to love material objects, properties and wealth.

We have made hate and anger rule us instead of meeting in common grounds.

And by this way, we have created a hell with our hands.

*              *              *              *              *

Regardless of negative incidents, a lovely bridge was established between Veysel Baba and his beloved fox friends at the heart of this mysterious park.

It is a bridge of love with many dreams and thousands of fairy tales.

And as our Veysel Baba crosses over this bridge of love, he offers a heaven to the warmhearted fox friends just like in tales.

This is a Tale Land including a Hundred and One Nights Tales and the beautiful Shoreditch Park Tales.

He is the one working days and nights.

He is the one walking to this mysterious park even at freezing nights.

He is the one meeting with his fox friends in this mysterious park while the entire city is sleeping.

He is the one trying to give lectures to his beloved fox friends just like a teacher.

He is the one telling the most beautiful tales to cutest baby foxes.

He is the one trying to do his best without giving up or pausing for a second.

It seems that the warmhearted Veysel Baba is trying to back a sin left from his ancestors.

*              *              *              *              *

Regardless they decorate those beautiful dreams and stories,

Or they give us lessons by means of practical thoughts,

Or they somehow take part in our daily lives,

Or they become an indispensible part of story books,

They are still the ones we chase for only chickens.

They are the one ones we lead to extinction by screaming for revenge,

Our Veysel Baba is the saviour of all foxes against our failed attempts regardless of our efforts.

*              *              *              *              *

Those are the ones we murdered pitilessly to hang their beautiful furs on the walls of our homes,

Those are the ones with beautiful furs we made hats, bags, and neck hangers for ourselves,

Those are the ones with shining furs we made expensive furs for women,

Those are the ones with bright furs we place on the floor to pass over,

Those are the ones with soft furs we made pillows to put under our heads,

Those are the ones we just mounted and wathed outside the windows,

Those are the ones we intended to murder in every manner,

Those are the ones we organised hunting parties,

Those are the ones we were proud with the number of murders that we possess by standing away from humanity,

And those are the ones we gave awards in accordance with the number of murders,

The warmhearted Veysel Baba is the sole shelter for those fox friends.

*              *              *              *              *

We somehow failed to love or show our love as much as Veysel Baba.

We somehow spared even a piece of our love from the beloved fox friends.

We never considered of opening our hearts to the fox friends like Vestel Baba.

We never tried to become friends with them.

We never tried to tell stories just like Veysel Baba, the Taleteller Grandpa.

We did not wish to share the remains of our food.

In those cold days of winter, we sat at our home and shut down our ears against the incidents.

We somehow forgot to bring some food in the parks located in the vicinity of our neighborhoods.

And we have throwed all those food and remainings to carbage without hesitation.

We never wished to experience such a vital act of ignorance or negligence.

And then, we returned to our crazy world as if nothing has happened.

For all these reasons, the kind Veysel Baba stands as a best friend and the voice of all unprotected foxes and squirrels.

*              *              *              *              *

It seems that he is the only one pointing out the problems of stated creatures in the nature.

And it seems that he intends to give a better life to those creatures as a gift by acting in a unique manner.

We hunted them without hesitation or pity for their babies.

It seems that we thought we would relieve by reflecting our hate.

It seems that we failed to observe the nature together with its creatures.

And we always considered ourselves as the sole owner of this nature.

We tried hard to damage this beautiful nature brought like a present to all creatures.

And by damaging the balance of this beautiful nature that we survive, we have already endangered our bright future.

*              *              *              *              *

In this moment, a beautiful fox appears in the mysterious Shoreditch Park.

He tries to tell us someting with his bright fur, silent paws and long tail.

In this moment, a light appears on his worried but lovely eyes.

And it seems that the sincerity and innocence in his eyes attract you instantly.

In this moment, the person starts to feel like a puzzle’s unsolved part.

Since the nature is like a password or a puzzle in which some parts would never be gathered.
And the person finds himself in a thousand year old tunnel of questions under worried eyes.

All the beautiful foxes, squirrels and other creatures are absolutely brought to us for caring.

We sometimes made reference to lovely animals in beautiful fairy tales.

We sometimes called the heroes in fairy tales to ensure our decent kids to have fun or sleep.

And we sometimes wished to be like the heroes in fairy tales in order to revive our lives.

And we also named our beautiful fox friends as the main heroes of our popular stories.

And just like Veysel Baba, we created a character resembling Silent Foot

*              *              *              *              *

The beautiful foxes appear silently just like the kind Silent Foot.

They walk around without being recognised whether they exist.

Then, they disappear silently.

They feel fear and uncomfortable as they run away.

In such moments, they look back to watch their baby foxes.

They want to take care of their babies more than themselves .

Because they are one of the best guardian mothers.

Just like our good hearted Silent Foot and her newborn Goze.

*              *              *              *              *

Their screams and voices during dangerous moments are so painful.

In this moment, they want to call the Great King Parapanu,

Since Lord Parapanu is the only god protecting all the foxes on this earth.

And when a fox is hunted in large meadows, plains, prairies, forests, rocks and farm edges, it seems the blood drops from the heart of Great King Parapanu as well as the heart of his lovely wife Princess Batavine.

In this moment, the tears fall from our warmhearted Veysel Baba’s eyes and then from his cheeks mixing with fertile soil of the mysterious Shoreditch Park…

As the spring comes, colorful flowers blossom on beautiful plains irrigated with tears.

Then, a fox with a beautiful and shining fur appears among the bushes.

Suddenly, a great excitement covers our bodies. We immediately ask ourselves doubtful questions and we begin to wonder whether that fox is one of those mentioned in the stories written by our exhausted Veysel Baba. And we ask ourselves: “Is this mystical Shoreditch Park stories of Veysel Baba real? Does the characters mentioned in this story such as Silent Foot, Parapanu, Princess Batavine, Goze and smart squirrel Pancho Mancho exist in real life?’’

*                                        *                                                     *                                      *

Listened to Veysel Baba’s meaningful and epic poem carefully, the decent Silent Foot and his little princess Goze fell in tears.

It was a great gift as somebody writes down such a meaningful and spiritual poem about the foxes and reads this poem at the heart of Shoreditch Park. It was also a good feeling to be understood and accepted. Silent Foot was really happy to have such a kind friend since it was not easy to find someone opening his heart in hard times. Here, the warmhearted friend Veysel Baba was standing like a present from mystical powers.

As she replied to Veysel Baba’s meaningful words, Silent Foot got to the point by telling her beloved friend Veysel Baba:

“My dear friend, first, I would like to thank you on behalf of my fox friends for all those beautiful words. In fact I came here tonight to make a farewell speech. But after such beautiful words, I couldn’t know what to say and how to say good bye to you. You really hit me from the heart. But, I want you to know that I have reached to the end of this long and narrow path as your friend. And I feel that I am really close to the days as I would taste the potion of death. I have only a few more months to live. In this time, I should tell what I know to my daughter Goze and I would like to have her prepared for such a heavy and holy duty in all means.

My dear friend Veysel Baba! We have experienced many beautiful days with you in this mysterious park. We had really good memories. We also experienced a lovely friendship and cooperation at the heart of this park. The good old days passed like a dream. We experienced everything with joy and we collected best memories and moments. In a way, we built a bridge of love. By avoiding prejudices and negative thoughts, we tried to remove all barriers between the human beings and animals. By this way, we tried to create a beautiful ambient whereas we also tried to develop a way of cooperation.

My dear friend Veysel Baba! It is almost impossible for me to come here after this night. And I want to spend the remaining days of my life at my home located near St. John’s Hoxton Church. As I would be teaching all that I know to my dear daughter Goze and waiting for the remaining days, I want you to take care of Goze by protecting her and warning against the dangers of this life. Please train her like a grandfather and give all necessary information. Give all your love to her as a decent person and make her more prepared. Remember, you are not only her Grandfather telling stories, but also his father giving her name.

And as a kind person, if you would like to write down what we experienced in this mysterious park, then tell about the compassionate relation between a fox and a man. Also tell about their friendship, cooperation, brotherhood, emotional connection, Lord Parapanu, Princess Batavine, Great Council of Foxes, Holy Ark, the judgement day and St. John’s Hoxton.

Tell about the mysterious Shoreditch Park. Also tell about the experiences in this park together with epic days, the famous Tale Road, the beautiful dreams about future, my daughter Goze, Veysel Baba’s farm house, safety money, the mafia members turned to crows, the unknown secrets, the deceived man, the exhausted man the lonely man, the freezing man, the man giving many messages, the warmhearted man, the man thirsty for love, the man with tears, the man with chain gang, the man with handcuffs, the man behind grates, the man doomed in a cold shell, the man trying to find his way in darkness, the man thrown to those dark wells, the man experienced tortures, the poor man, the helpless man, the suffering man, the man falling in love with nature, the man loving animals, the beautiful dreams, the heavenly kingdom, the natural slaughter, environmental pollution and climate change. Explain how our beautiful future is taken from our hands because of greedy ones and tell about hungers, poverties, global robbery order, never-ending wars and genocides. Explain how we created the doomsday with our own hands. Tell all those things to demonstrate how we turn darkness to light and how we can create beautiful moments starting from today. Let’s think that we can find a way out for the entire world and for all people surviving on earth. Let’s search for bright days so that our cute kinds would live most beautiful dreams or play enjoyable games, play with beautiful kites, listen to stories at the heart of mysterious Shoreditch Park.’’

Listened to his friend Silent Foot’s meaningful farewell speech carefully, Veysel Baba took notes one by one. Maybe it is because he is a reason for those incidents or he feels slightly guilty for his friend Silent Foot. His insists on learning about the Doomsday has brought a sad farewell. After this night, he wouldn’t see his dear friend Silent Foot anymore. In the light of this sad truth, two friends together with Goze continued conversation until the first lights of day in the middle of mysterious park. They talked about love, friendship and farewell at the heart of mystical Shoreditch Park. By next morning, two lovely friends hugged each other with tears. Finally, the time to say goodbye has come. Our decent Silent Foot took her daughter after waving hands to the beloved friend Veysel Baba for the last time and returned to a century old shelter located at the bottom of St John’s Hoxton Church.

Following the decent Silent Foot disappeared through the bushes, our lonely Veysel Baba fell in tears and said: ‘’Goodbye Silent Foot. Goodbye my dear friend. Goodbye silent paws. Goodbye silence of the night. Goodbye light of the day. I will never forget you.’’

*              *              *              *              *

*      *              *              *              *              .

*              *              *              *              *
